Strempel Road Street Reconstruction

TRC provides the vision to create a pathway for success.

The Strempel Road Street Reconstruction project involved the street reconstruction of Strempel Road between SH 123 Business (Austin Street) and SH 123 Bypass. The design included a 38-foot concrete roadway, 3 – 3’ x 2’ box culvert crossing under Strempel Road, extension of a culvert under Strempel Road at SH 123 Bypass, and an earth drainage swale.  The project also included the installation of a 12” water main along Strempel Road between SH 123 Business and SH 123 Bypass.  A right-hand turn lane was also constructed from SH 123 Business (Austin Street) and SH 123 Bypass onto Strempel Road.  Additionally, three (3) easement exhibit field notes were provided for drainage, property acquisition, and electrical.  Driveway permits were submitted to TxDOT for approval for the intersections of Strempel Road with SH 123 Business and Strempel Road with SH 123 Bypass.

TRC Services Provided:

TRC’s Civil Engineering Services division was contracted to provide a geotechnical report for roadway design, construction plans/specifications, bidding administration, and construction administration. The scope of work also included preparation of a submittal packages to TxDOT and TLDR.

An Environmental Due Diligence Report was prepared which included biological resource investigations, Waters of the US (WOTUS) survey, threatened and endangered species background survey, biological resources technical memorandum, archaeological investigations, and a non-archaeological historic properties investigations.
