Southfork Offshore Wind - Detailed Design and Permitting

The 120 MW Southfork Offshore Wind Project on Long Island, New York is part of the first Article VII proceedings for offshore wind in New York State.

 

TRC is leading the onshore engineering design and providing permitting support for the Article VII Environmental Management and Construction Plan process.

 

Our detailed engineering design includes the electrical, civil and geotechnical elements associated with a new onshore export cable, onshore substation and interconnection cable. Our work closely considers environmental and socioeconomic constraints associated with this infrastructure in the densely populated coastal community where it is being constructed. Our role continues through construction where we are providing engineering oversight and management as well as pre-commissioning electrical testing services, outage planning and drawing review.
