Where do we go from here?: Making spaces safe in the wake of COVID-19

Social distancing and other social responsibilities such as promoting the practice of proper, preventative hygiene, providing personal protective equipment, monitoring the health and well-being of our employees etc. is how TRC is able to remain an active partner on the front lines during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are here to support our clients through this pandemic so that they can continue to provide uninterrupted services to their communities and the country, as a whole.

In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, we at TRC, as scientists and technical experts, have an obligation to continue to put the health and safety of our communities at the center of everything we do. In fact, we’ve been focused on providing safe spaces to work and live through the science of decontamination and disinfection. Sanitizing shared spaces, both in our offices and for our clients, is just the first of TRC’s capabilities that keep business safely moving forward during these challenging times. TRC has also made investments in confirmatory testing equipment, ensuring biological contaminants tied to human health and safety risks are not present in the spaces that we and our clients occupy. From the real-time sample data provided, we enable our clients and our employees to make quick decisions based on pass or fail testing results and, ultimately, achieve better outcomes.

The novel corona virus, COVID-19, has triggered a forced evolution of day-to-day life and work. We are all reassessing not only where we physically work, but how we interact in and around that work. The cooperative work scopes between clients and TRC are, historically, rooted in providing best in class solutions to support a changing world. Our response to COVID-19 is no different as we anticipate and support our clients in their “new normal”. Our tech-enabled platforms help provide real-time dimension and a better understanding of the data we collect. They direct change in our work approach and propel successful project completion, even under the most extenuating circumstances.

We at TRC take pride in our client-partner relationships and, together with our clients, we will quickly adapt to a new world through the lens of creative thinking and management of new ways to work. Assuming a positive view and providing solutions to address the world, post COVID-19, we should take encouragement from the level of care our global community has demonstrated. In times of crisis, we, as a people, re-invent ourselves. At TRC, our job will now be to continue to lead the science behind the solution: making workplaces safe, keeping business moving forward safely and minimizing the impact of today’s challenges while we invest in the future. TRC is grateful to be doing our part, behind the scenes and in support of all those working tirelessly on the front line to win the battle against this virus.

TRC is not working towards getting back to business as usual, but rather creating solutions to enable our people, our clients and the world to work and live safely both during and in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
