Winter Garden FL Beautification Project

The city of Winter Garden, Florida’s effort to improve the image of their historic downtown area and create a more welcoming arrival experience into the district also required improving power reliability for the community.  

Solution  

TRC provided engineering for the undergrounding of three miles of overhead feeder from Plant Street to State Road 50.  From concept to materials specifications, the Dillard Street Reconstruction project solution included working with transmission on underbuilt distribution relocations and keeping existing customers in the business district energized while being served from a new underground source and designing new street lighting across the city. 

Result 

The Winter Garden beautification project will create a more inviting streetscape that better accommodates motor vehicles, walking and biking while decreasing outages due to high winds during storms, pole strikes by vehicles and wildlife interaction with power lines.  This means customers will have more reliable power with fewer outages.
