TRC is a national leader in per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) characterization, research and technical consulting. We developed a webinar to help metal plating facilities understand potential PFAS concerns associated with their operations, including an update on policies and regulations that may affect the metal plating industry (e.g., Toxic Release Inventory [TRI] reporting and local state regulations).
The PFAS Act of 2019 added 172 PFAS compounds to the list of chemicals that must be evaluated for TRI reporting for 2020 (due July 1, 2021). Understanding how to identify PFAS-containing materials and assess and prepare TRI threshold calculations is critical to knowing whether you have to report.
Other topics include:
- Environmental issues due to PFAS
- The latest on regulations relating to PFAS
- A legal perspective on the PFAS concern
Watch our expert panel Elizabeth Denly, ASQ CMQ/OE, Technical Director at TRC, Melissa Hart, TRI Regulatory Expert at TRC and Attorney Andrew Davis, Ph.D. and Partner at Shipman & Goodwin LLP break down all of the important PFAS details that relate to the metal plating industry.
