United States
As Prime Inspection Consultant TRC played a key role throughout the 4-County District providing construction inspection and documentation services on various simultaneous projects.
Project Challenges
TRC was retained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Engineering District 12-0, to provide Inspection and Documentation services for various projects throughout the 4-County District. With multiple active projects and several different contractors and subcontractors performing work, timely staffing of projects was an ongoing challenge.
Solution
As one of the largest providers of Construction Inspection Services in the state of Pennsylvania, TRC was able to call on a large pool of local, experienced, and certified staff. Additionally, when construction demands required, TRC was able to pull in staff from outside the local area.
Results
TRC, the Prime Inspection Consultant, as well as CCS, our subconsultant DBE firm, provided the experienced, qualified staff necessary to inspect, and document all the work performed by both the prime contractor and their subcontractors, confirming their compliance with all project specifications. The effort put forth by the entire team was recognized with an Asphalt Pavement Quality Award in recognition of a tremendous job well done by the Pennsylvania Asphalt Pavement Association.
