Formosa 1 Offshore Wind Farm supports Taiwan’s renewable energy goals
With component production taking place overseas, TRC provided fabrication oversight and quality assurance inspection for wind turbine monopile transition pieces, monopiles, and foundations. As TRC inspectors carry multiple internationally recognized certifications we were able to inspect in many roles throughout the project cost-effectively.
TRC representatives assisted in the following sections for the fabrication of foundation, transition piece and monopile –
- Preparation of QC Manual, welding & painting procedures.
- Inspection consultation was also provided for material receiving, sampling & testing.
- Welding, in-process fabrication checks.
- Dimensional and final integration checks.
- Corrosion protection inspection.
- Compilation and submission of the project documents.
TRC is honored to have participated on the Formosa 1 Offshore Wind Farm project which is the first offshore wind development in the Taipei city area.
