Boot Ranch Project

Boot Ranch is a 2000+ acre luxury development located in the Texas Hill Country. The development included water rights permitting, construction of a reclaimed water line from Fredericksburg, Texas to the project site, modification of existing dams to meet dam safety requirements, and definition of flood plains. Boot Ranch includes a championship golf course designed by PGA legend Hal Sutton along with an equestrian center. Golf course construction included modifications to Waters of the U.S. that required a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

• Assisted in development and implementation of a water supply strategy for the project including working with local, regional and state authorities.

• Obtained permits, designed, and performed construction administration for reclaimed waste water pipeline from the City of Fredericksburg for irrigation purposes.

• Obtained USACE permit for golf course construction activities, involving wetlands delineation, cultural resources survey, and mitigation plan development and implementation including stream enhancement.

• Performed safety inspections of the dams within the project and developed modification plans and specifications for the structures not meeting the TCEQ requirements.

• Performed an evaluation of previously submitted hydraulic models associated with a FEMA Conditional Letter of Map Revision. It was determined that the constructed bridges differed enough from the plans that supplemental hydraulic analyses were required to establish the local flood plains.
