Creating New Pathways for Qualitative Data Assessments
Challenge
TRC’s client, an international aerospace technology company, maintains a robust industrial hygiene program that it rolls out to all its facilities. During an ownership transition, the client’s sites, which already had a strong industrial hygiene program, requested assistance with integrating their existing program into the new owner’s system. Combining these two programs required qualitative assessments, detailed chemical inventory reviews and industrial regulatory compliance assistance during internal audits and regulatory inspections.
Solution
TRC developed an innovative approach to integrate the industrial hygiene programs at eight of the client’s facilities. Our team created and linked an internal data tracking application to the new owner’s already established qualitative assessment system. By working in conjunction with the tools already in place, our team saved time and was able to more effectively and efficiently assess large amounts of data.
Results
The sites that leveraged our data tracking tool improved efficiency by being able to access critical industrial hygiene information in an easily sortable format with direct correlation to environmental compliance activities. The tool helped the facilities successfully pass internal audits and conduct ongoing quantitative assessments.
TRC has become the client’s go-to consultant for performing industrial hygiene qualitative assessments and assisting with quantitative sampling. Our innovative data assessment system has led to a long-term relationship with the client across multiple facility locations.
