TRC is providing technical analysis and programmatic support for the Construction and Operations Plan and Article VII filings associated with an offshore wind project that will make landfall on Long Island, New York. This project is the first offshore wind project with DC transmission and associated infrastructure in the United States.
Our role includes technical and multidisciplinary support to analyze and predict potential effects of project construction and operation as it pertains to onshore noise, underwater noise, electromagnetic fields, hydraulic mixing and sediment transport.
TRC is leading the NPDES permitting and other technical considerations specific to the project’s preferred alternative for DC transmission to deliver the renewable energy to shore.
