- Instructor-led lectures on the maintenance and testing of circuit breakers, power transformers and instrument transformers following ANSI MTS standards.
- Hands-on testing of circuit breakers, power transformers and instrument transformers, as well as the theory and application of portable grounds and LOTO principles.
- Hands-on planning and application of ground grid testing methods.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
The course covers theory, applications, operating mechanisms, and testing procedures to assess equipment condition and functionality. Participants will learn to identify equipment, interpret nameplate data, read circuit breaker control schematics, and perform inspections and testing. Safety practices for field testing of breakers, transformers, and instrument transformers are also emphasized.
