Challenge: Connect Local Fleets with Resources and Incentives to Electrify Their Operations
TRC’s Clean Transportation team worked with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) from the beginning of the utility’s Power Your Drive for Fleets program to develop and implement a multi-sector, multi-year Marketing, Education, and Outreach (ME&O) campaign to help introduce local fleets to the resources, funding, and support offered by SDG&E. Working from the onset of the program, our team created a suite of educational resources, leveraged a variety of lead generating tactics, and managed SDG&E’s hallmark EV Fleet Day annual event.
Solution: Deploy a Multi-Channel Communications and Multi-Sector Education Campaign
SDG&E’s annual EV Fleet Day, supported by strategic collateral development and a multi-channel outreach campaign, engaged over 1,000 attendees, garnered 45+ media stories, and showcased 50 zero-emission vehicles. The initiative also prioritized fleets in disadvantaged communities, ensuring they understood and accessed available rebates, incentives, and infrastructure support. Overall, these efforts significantly advanced fleet electrification across Southern California.
