TRC is working with a client to provide both short term and long term transmission system planning assessment studies to comply with the requirements of both the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) new Bulk Electric System (BES) definition filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in January 2012 and the new TPL-001-4 transmission system reliability performance measures based on the Compliance Requirements in NERC Reliability Standard TPL-001-4.

Successful compliance requires detailed assessment of the client’s service territory, including:

  • Steady state, dynamic stability and short circuit analyses
  • Needs Assessments
  • System Deficiencies
  • Solutions Studies
  • Corrective Action Plans
  • – TRC also supports any regulatory approvals the client needs to implement the project, including System Reliability Impact Studies and Proposed Plan Applications.
