WINDSOR, Conn.<\/strong> \u2013 TRC Companies, Inc. (TRC), a global professional services firm providing integrated advisory, consulting, construction, engineering, environmental and management services, announced that\u00a0Tricia Underwood<\/a>, PhD, DABT, has joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Health Sciences. With more than 26 years of experience, Underwood is a recognized national expert in toxicology and chemical supply chain risks associated with domestic and international environmental regulations.<\/p>\n

Most recently, she served as Chief Toxicologist and Principal Director of Chemical Risk Management for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). In this role, she was responsible for developing and executing DoD strategic regulatory engagement across a full spectrum of stakeholders, including Congressional staff, the Executive Office of the President, U.S. EPA Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, and U.S. defense industrial base. She established a robust DoD chemical risk management program by identifying and averting regulatory risks tied to emerging chemical regulations\u2014safeguarding materials essential to DoD, NATO and allied military readiness across aviation, ground and naval assets.<\/p>\n

In her role at TRC, Underwood will deepen TRC\u2019s expertise in product stewardship by helping clients proactively manage environmental, health and regulatory risks across the full product lifecycle \u2013 from sourcing and manufacturing through distribution and disposal.<\/p>\n
