Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9 pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins d\u2019un client particulier, mais il s\u2019applique \u00e0 toutes les situations. Les chemin\u00e9es sont essentiellement de grandes chemin\u00e9es qui sont utilis\u00e9es pour disperser la pollution de l\u2019air sur des sites industriels tels que les centrales \u00e9lectriques et les raffineries. Les chemin\u00e9es sont con\u00e7ues pour \u00eatre suffisamment hautes pour que les divers polluants et particules soient \u00e9mis \u00e0 une hauteur qui n\u2019aura pas d\u2019impact significatif sur les humains ou la faune. Les \u00e9missions de vapeur d\u2019eau des chemin\u00e9es cr\u00e9ent souvent du brouillard. La vapeur d\u2019eau des chemin\u00e9es peut se m\u00e9langer \u00e0 la vapeur d\u2019eau pr\u00e9sente dans l\u2019air, ce qui entra\u00eene la formation de brouillard&nbsp;; ce type de brouillard est appel\u00e9 \u00ab brouillard industriel \u00bb. Non seulement les \u00e9missions des chemin\u00e9es peuvent cr\u00e9er du brouillard, mais elles contribuent \u00e9galement aux probl\u00e8mes de qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air li\u00e9s au brouillard. Le mod\u00e8le de visibilit\u00e9 du panache de TRC peut \u00e9valuer les dangers que peuvent poser diverses occurrences de brouillard. Le mod\u00e8le utilise la m\u00e9t\u00e9orologie standard de l\u2019a\u00e9roport (ou des donn\u00e9es plus sp\u00e9cifiques sur place, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant) et des m\u00e9thodes pour traiter la teneur et la temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019eau liquide afin de d\u00e9terminer quand des gouttelettes d\u2019eau liquide se forment et quand la concentration des gouttelettes d\u2019eau cr\u00e9e un brouillard visible. Par extension, le mod\u00e8le peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour indiquer quand les gouttelettes d\u2019eau liquide g\u00e8leront et quand les gouttelettes se fixeront aux surfaces froides cr\u00e9ant de la glace rime.   <\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, les chemin\u00e9es d\u2019absorbeurs de polluants contiennent de grandes quantit\u00e9s d\u2019eau. La mod\u00e9lisation a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e pour \u00e9valuer les livres de glace rime qui peuvent s\u2019accumuler sur la surface ext\u00e9rieure de la chemin\u00e9e afin de d\u00e9terminer si la chemin\u00e9e peut structurellement se permettre le poids de la glace ou si le tra\u00e7age de la chaleur de la chemin\u00e9e est n\u00e9cessaire.
