LOWELL, Mass. \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>TRC, a leader in engineering, environmental consulting and construction-management services, announced today that it has acquired American Environmental Consultants, Inc. of Weymouth, Mass., a hazardous materials assessment company.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmerican Environmental\u2019s top-notch technical skills and responsiveness to its private and public clients make it a perfect addition to TRC,\u201d said John Cowdery, President of TRC\u2019s Environmental Sector. \u201cIncorporating its expertise in hazardous materials surveying and identification further broadens TRC\u2019s building sciences and remediation capabilities for clients throughout New England.\u201d<\/p>\n

Founded in 2001,\u00a0American Environmental<\/a>\u00a0provides environmental and hazardous materials assessment, quantification and remediation consulting services to a wide variety of clients across New England. The company specializes in environmental sciences, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, microscopy, laboratory analysis services and legal services for a full range of environmental issues.<\/p>\n

The acquisition of American Environmental is TRC\u2019s first since it was sold to New Mountain Capital last June.<\/p>\n
