LOWELL, Mass. \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>TRC, a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, consulting and construction management solutions fueled by innovative technology, announced today it has acquired Vali Cooper & Associates Inc., a top California infrastructure firm that manages transportation, water\/wastewater, utility and facilities projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cVali Cooper & Associates is a leading construction management firm in California and has an excellent reputation throughout the industry, especially in the public sector,\u201d said TRC CEO Chris Vincze. \u201cThis key acquisition aligns with our strategic growth strategy and will help diversify our robust portfolio of infrastructure services in one of the strongest markets in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With the deal, TRC now has nearly 600 employees in California providing a full complement of engineering and management services in the infrastructure, oil and gas, environmental and power markets.<\/p>\n

Based in Concord, Calif., VC&A has 200 employees and is ranked No. 45 on\u00a0ENR\u2019s list of the Top 100 construction management firms in the U.S.<\/a>\u00a0Its clients include the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the California Department of Water Resources, Bay Area Rapid Transit and municipalities, water\/flood control districts, private entities and utilities across California.<\/p>\n

The company has branch offices throughout California and one in Colorado.<\/p>\n

The deal is the first major acquisition for TRC\u00a0since it went private last June<\/a>\u00a0following its sale to\u00a0New Mountain Capital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Vali Cooper & Associates M&A opportunity was introduced to TRC by Matheson Financial Advisors Inc., an AEC-focused corporate finance and investment banking firm that represented Vali Cooper and its shareholders.<\/p>\n
